Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
- Works effectively as a member of a cross-functional team performing analyses of pharmaceutical research data particularly epidemiologic studies in large claims or electronic medical record databases in Europe and North America.
- Performs data management tasks of extracting, importing, cleaning, and organizing raw observational data from large, complex databases
- Performs programming tasks to create analytic datasets from raw data files
- Performs statistical analyses of moderate to high technical complexity with limited oversight
- Performs analytic tasks to ensure quality of analysis/programming of other staff
- Selects among existing approaches and techniques to complete varying assignments and learns new methods in response to project demands
- Adapts programs and analyses as necessary to meet dynamic changes in analysis specifications
- Collaborates to develop statistical analysis plans, generate table shells, and summarize results of statistical analyses to non-statisticians
- May prepare presentations for internal and external audiences
- May provide statistical consulting to internal colleagues and/or pharmaceutical industry clients
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics/Biostatistics or related field, with coursework and/or experience in Epidemiology preferred
- 4+ years of experience performing statistical tasks in pharmaceutical/healthcare research.
- Demonstrated experience in study planning, programming, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated SAS programming skills.
- Demonstrated writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written English.
Preferred
- Epidemiological background or experience, especially with observational studies and analyses of large, complex databases such as electronic medical records and claims databases.
- Experience programming for studies utilizing UK CPRD, US claims data, Medicare, and/or MarketScan datasets highly valued
